Vitex LLC Announces Availability of 80km SFP+ Transceivers Ahead of OFC 2011

Cranford, NJ, February 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vitex LLC, a leading supplier of fiber optic components, announced today that it has broadened its transceiver portfolio to include 80km SFP+ modules. These transceivers are designed for Fiber Channel and 10GbE applications. The transmitter incorporates a cooled EML laser and the receiver consists of an APD photodiode integrated with a TIA. Digital diagnostics are available via a 2-wire serial interface which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current etc. Vitex will showcase 80km SFP+ modules at the upcoming OFC tradeshow in Los Angeles, CA.

Vitex also offers SFP+ devices with operating distances of 300m, 10km, 20km and 40km. Transceivers that work in industrial temperature range are also available.
