Yampu Tours Offering Major Vacation Discount at New York Times Travel Show
Stowe, VT, February 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Yampu Tours, the World Travel Award Winner as "South America’s Leading Tour Operator," announced today that one of their initiatives at the 2011 New York Times Travel Show will be to encourage travelers to explore more cultural exchange experiences to enliven their Central and South American visits.
Yampu (yampu.com) will also be promoting their company by offering an additional discount for those who visit their exhibition booth at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center between February 25 and 27 in New York City.
The Travel Show will feature nearly 500 exhibitors representing more than 150 countries. The event will feature travel experts such as Rick Steves, Arthur and Pauline Frommer, Patricia Schultz, Adam Richman and Monica Irauzqui, Yampu Tours co-founder, who will be a featured speaker in the ‘Discover Adventure: Emerging Destinations in Central & South America Travel’ seminar, from 12 to 1 p.m. on Feb 26 in Seminar Room 2.
“When going off the beaten trail to find a rich and authentic cultural experience in Central and South America, the choices are unlimited,” said Irauzqui. “For example, though, think about how special an experience it is to cook an authentic meal with a local chef after picking the ingredients out with him at the local market. Or, how about visiting a remote village weaver’s studio to see first-hand how they have done this for the ages? What about visiting a school with the desperately needed supplies the local kids asked for? Or how about simply planting a tree to give back to a country that’s still growing?”
Travelers can drop by booth #455 to register and qualify for an additional 5 percent discount on top of the $200 - $500 discount that’s currently being offered on tours booked before the end of March for travel before December 15.
Guests at the travel show will be treated to a culinary demonstration stage presented by the Food Network’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival. There will also be a Family Fun Pavilion, which offers a wealth of activities for the entire family. Kids can test their skills on a climbing wall and pique their curiosity with engaging activities hosted by NYC area museums. Kids under 18 get in the show for free!
Media professionals are also encouraged to drop by Yampu Tours for special press kits featuring Yampu’s ‘Wine and Culinary Tours’ and special samples. Irauzqui’s Peruvian-born husband, and co-founder, Jose Irauzqui will also be on hand to welcome visitors as well as the company’s sales manager Karolina Mucha
