HCR’s Latest Supplier of the Year Award

Basingstoke, United Kingdom, February 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In a ceremony at Twickenham hosted by the BBC’s Bill Turnbull, HCR Group was once again recognised for their outstanding service delivered whilst reducing costs. At the prestigious ‘Government Business Awards 2011’, HCR was awarded Runner Up as ‘Central Government Supplier of the Year.’

Business Development Director, Adrian Leach, observed, “It is a fantastic achievement for HCR. We didn’t seek this award, but were independently nominated and short listed by Government Business Magazine. To be recognised as the second most effective supplier to Central Government is a phenomenal accomplishment. We are very proud of all our staff and their dedication.”

The nomination read: “Up until 12 years ago, when the MoD let a contract to employee relocation services provider HCR Group, Service Personnel were left to their own devices. This often led to the use of substandard accommodation and a large potential tax bill for the MoD. The current model has been honed and matured to reduce the administrative and financial burden. With just one application form, HCR has utilised the economies of scale to save substantial cost, making the process of relocation simpler. Last year the scheme and its benefits were brought to the attention of Sir Christopher Kelly’s committee investigating MPs’ expenses, who went on to recommend that MPs’ use a scheme ‘along the lines of the MoD Scheme’.”

HCR has grown throughout the recession and continues to invest in staff training, IT systems and new services.
