Morton Grove Action Party Hosts Mardi Gras “Meet the Candidates” Event
Morton Grove, IL, March 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Due to the overwhelming response of a “Meet the Candidates” event sponsored by the Morton Grove Action Party that took place on January 30, a second evening has been set aside for residents to have some fun, meet the candidates, and talk about the future of Morton Grove. Many attendees met and chatted with the Action Party candidates at the first fundraising event and were able to personally engage the candidates on a variety of important topics affecting village government.
The second campaign rally will take place on Fat Tuesday, March 8, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Classic Bowl (in the downstairs Party Room), 8530 Waukegan Road, Morton Grove. Featuring all-you-can-eat jambalaya, BBQ meatballs, salad and scrumptious desserts. Residents can share concerns and hopes for the Village as well as spending one-on-one time meeting the Action Party's slate of candidates.
A donation of $15 per person is requested (couples can attend for just $25). Checks can be made payable to: The Action Party of Morton Grove, and mailed to The Action Party of Morton Grove, 6749 Dempster Street, #121, Morton Grove, Illinois 60053.
The Action Party candidates for the April 5, 2011 municipal election are Shel Marcus, John C. Thill, and Maria S. Toth for Village Trustees.
The Action Party, a grassroots Morton Grove-based political party, prides itself in the fact that its members are non-partisan – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – who are dedicated to providing the Village of Morton Grove with experienced, independent, and dedicated leadership.
