Slosberg College Solutions LLC Announces College Planning Workshop for High School Juniors in Bridgewater, N.J.
Bridgewater, NJ, February 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Slosberg College Solutions LLC announces an 8-hour College Planning Workshop for high school juniors on Sundays, March 6 and March 13, 2011 from 1:15 - 5:15 P.M. in Bridgewater, N.J.
Rana Slosberg, an independent college consultant, will lead the workshop. She is a member of Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC). She holds a B.S., an M.A., and an Independent Educational Consultant Certificate.
At the workshop, the students will:
- Complete and interpret a survey on educational attitudes, goals and perspectives
- Consider and evaluate fifteen qualities that make a college right
- Identify the eight most important qualities of a college
- Learn how to:
----Build a good match college list
----Make effective campus visits
----Write the college essay
----Prepare for a college interview
- Learn the purpose of the college essay
- Brainstorm one or more topics for the college essay
- Develop a list of recommendation letter writers
- Develop a draft activity list for their college application
- Participate in a mock interview.
The maximum workshop size is 10. A textbook, student loose-leaf, beverages and snacks will be provided.
