Erie, PA, February 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lyons Den Productions is proud to announce the first artists to appear on the soundtrack for their upcoming feature film “There Are No Goodbyes”. The Sony/BMG duo, Lumiere, have contributed the Gaelic song “Cá Rabhais Ar Feadh An Lae Uaim” which will be featured during scenes filmed in Ireland as well as on the soundtrack.
Filmmaker John C. Lyons met Pauline Scanlon of Lumiere in Ireland last spring, “When you’re filming atop the Cliffs of Mohr and all these mystical places it’s easy to fall under Ireland’s spell. In Dingle we were fortunate to hear Pauline’s voice and knew we had to get her on board. Little did we know that in Lumiere, her collaborative project with Éilís Kennedy, we’d ultimately be blessed to have two beautiful voices on the soundtrack.”
Lumiere’s Pauline Scanlon said of their involvement, “We were incredibly excited when invited to contribute a track to "There Are No Goodbyes". It is wonderful for us to be part of this creative team, and we are very much looking forward to seeing the movie!"
Lumiere is two distinct voices cut from the same geographic cloth. One is the award winning Pauline Scanlon. Singing professionally since the age of 15, she has two critically-received albums to her credit as well as extensive global touring experience. Scanlon also collaborated with Belinda Carlisle on her 2007 release Voila. The other half of the musical whole, Éilís Kennedy, whose natural and genuine interpretations of songs, both old and new, sung in her native Gaelic and in English, were previously heard in her multiple collaborations and solo offerings as a recording artist. Together, they offer a distinctly feminine sound and feel, where voice is the primary instrument and Ireland as motherland is re-imagined. Lumiere is produced by the legendary John Reynolds (Sinead O'Connor, Andrea Corr, U2, Damien Dempsey etc.).
Lyons Den Productions will announce the remaining musicians appearing on the soundtrack for “There Are No Goodbyes” the week of March 1, 2011. Andy Flatley, a longtime Lyons Den Productions collaborator, is producing the soundtrack and scoring the film. The film and soundtrack are expected to debut in 2012.
About “Lumiere” – Lumiere’s self-titled debut album has received glowing reviews worldwide and is available now for retail sale. The songs concern themselves with themes of love and loss, of place and people. They are mainly drawn from the Irish tradition but also touch on the great American songbook.
