Howard Alan Events returns to Downtown Venice featuring the work of longtime favorite artists, as well as new and emerging talent. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photos, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, and ceramics with prices ranging from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures. The 10th Annual Downtown Venice Art Classic, quickly becoming as popular as the fall show, will once again transform this historic downtown area into an outdoor art gallery March 5 - 6, 2011. The festival benefits Venice Main Street, dedicated to preserving and maintaining downtown Venice as a desirable destination. Admission is free and open to the public.
“We are thrilled to return to Venice,” says festival promoter Howard Alan. “Our festivals feature the top artists in the country and allow art enthusiasts to explore the work of many different artists in a fun and exciting setting, Venice is a fabulous and vibrant city.”
This two-day event brings together the nation’s leading artists and the finest local talent. All artists are juried by an independent panel of expert judges, and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America.
Howard Alan Events, the festival’s promoter, stipulates that all artists are required to be on-site for the entire duration of the show. Artists and their professional white-tented display booths will be located along the tree-lined streets of this popular retail and dining destination available to meet festival goers and discuss their art and inspiration.
The 10th Annual Downtown Venice Art Classic makes the arts accessible to a broad audience. The event appeals to family and friends as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections.
