Bellwether Community Credit Union Expands Into Bedford
A new branch will open near the intersection of Route 101 and Old Bedford Road
Bedford, NH, February 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bellwether Community Credit Union has announced they will open a new branch office at the intersection of Route 101 and Old Bedford Road, across from the Bedford Public Safety Complex and Bedford Village Inn.
With locations in Manchester and Nashua, Bellwether Community Credit Union has been exploring potential sites to expand their branch network. The office will offer easier access to members who live and work in southwest Manchester, Bedford, Goffstown and the surrounding communities.
The office is being designed around the concepts of personal service and easy, around the clock access. The interior features an innovative layout dubbed “dialog banking,” and eliminates a traditional teller line in favor of service “islands” enabling a more personal and effective dialog between credit union staff and members. The office will also feature a 24/7 self-service kiosk as well as a drive-up ATM.
“Bellwether Community Credit Union is very excited about this project,” said Michael L’Ecuyer, President/CEO of Bellwether. “While we take pride in giving our members numerous ways to access their Bellwether accounts, this location will enable consumers living between Manchester and Nashua a convenient way to visit us in person.”
The Bellwether office will be part of an 81,848 sq. ft. commercial complex that will include a restaurant, coffee shop, pharmacy and medical office building. Its design will feature yellow plank clapboards, a manufactured stone base, and a handsome clock tower. The project is being developed by AV Bedford, LLC and construction will begin within a few weeks.
Bellwether Community Credit Union was founded in 1921 to provide financial services for telephone workers. Since 2001, the credit union has been serving anyone living or working in New Hampshire. Today Bellwether serves over 26,000 members throughout the state.
