The Crowley Company announces new hires and promotions within the company’s service bureau and corporate operations.
Frederick, MD, February 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Christopher Crowley, president of The Crowley Company, is pleased to announce the hiring and repositioning of several key staff.
On the heels of winning several large archive preservation projects, The Crowley Company has added three new employees to its service bureau:
Anthony Markezich, of Shepherdstown, W.Va., has been named Acting Director of Operations for the firm’s 18,000 sq. ft. conversion services bureau. Markezich will report directly to owner and vice president Patrick Crowley and be responsible for all aspects of bureau production, personnel and project management. “Anthony’s working knowledge of hardware solutions,” notes Crowley, “is a great asset in managing the proper approach to specialty projects, especially those dealing with very high volume or very rare documents.” Markezich was previously Crowley’s Director of Technical Services, spearheading the installation, maintenance and repair division.
Also joining the service bureau team is Linda Thomas, of Columbia, Md., who is responsible for conversion service business development in the northern United States from New York to Alaska and for parts of Canada. Thomas will report directly to vice president of sales and marketing, Matthew McCabe. Thomas brings to the company 15 years of experience in the digital technology and outsourcing industry. She previously served as Senior Account Executive at Digital Divide Data, providing outsourced digitization and conversion services to professional, academic and non-governmental organizations as well as developing strategic alliances, marketing strategies and partnership management.
Rachel Pincus, of New Market, Md., is a recent Media and Communications graduate of University Maryland-Baltimore County. She has taken on the role of Supporting Hardware/Service Sales, reporting to McCabe. Pincus will focus on cultivating relationships with both current and potential customers while gaining an in-depth understanding of Crowley’s front-end capture offerings and extensive scanning and microfilm processing services.
In addition, Marlena Rodriguez, of New Market, Md., has joined the Crowley corporate team as Controller. She will support Andrew Marcou, Chief Financial Officer, in strengthening and directing all accounting and financial systems throughout the company’s four divisions: scanning equipment, imaging services, technical support and parts and supplies. Rodriguez is a certified CPA with over 25 years extensive knowledge in government accounting, finance, information technology, operations and management in both product and service-based operations.
