The Germ Stoppers are Here with a New Franchise Success
Hot new franchise is spreading like the flu by killing germs in America’s trash cans.
Flemington, NJ, February 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Avian flu poultry timers. Toothbrush sanitizers. UV ray sensors. Anti-mite mattress sprays. E.Coli outbreaks in fast food restaurants. And now, SaniCan, one of the hottest new franchises to hit America in years is arming us in fighting back against disease spreading germs and the bad smells that lurk in our trash cans by offering a trash can sanitization service for just $7 per month.
According to the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA, trashcans are a breeding ground for diseases, germs and insects and numerous cases of influenza, along with other illnesses can be linked to people handling contaminated trashcans.
But, the germ busters at SaniCan have a plan to help control the amount of unsanitary trashcans in our homes, businesses and even our schools.
"The arrival of the plastic garbage can has made storage and disposal easier, but this has led to your garbage can being the single most unhygienic thing in your home or workplace,” Nicholas Ellsmore, 35, SaniCan’s co-founder said in a statement. "Unpleasant odors, the presence of flies, ants and other pests, and as well the potential risk of bacteria, can cause diseases such as Salmonella, E.Coli and Listeria."
SaniCan has been sanitizing the trash cans of England since 1987.
"The British version of SaniCan has been a huge success," Ellsmore said. "We have developed our own unique cleaning and sanitizing processes along with patented equipment designed specifically for not just cleaning, but sanitizing garbage cans."
The American consumer today is worried about diseases, toxic chemicals, body fat and indoor air quality. Blackberry-weary workers are stressed and would like a massage when they get home. They want kitchen appliances that can do everything except actually serve the tacos, and would like to avoid touching anything creepy that might spread germs.
"It's getting scarier out there for a lot of people. We've heard about anthrax and mad cow disease and all the mold contamination in the Katrina states," says Lisa Casey Weiss, lifestyle consultant for the International Housewares Association. "The home is where people used to feel protected from those outside influences. Now we are grasping for those products and services that enable us to get a better sense of self-protection."
SaniCan made its American debut at the International Franchise Expo in Washington D.C. during June of 2006 and has since opened the doors to more than 10 new franchises across the United States.
“Although we’ve had tremendous success in Europe, I didn’t think it would take off this fast in America, says Ellsmore. “It’s been a very exciting past few months for us.”
