Traverse City, MI, February 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jim rejoins Terrapin Networks and brings with him many years of IT experience, including a lengthy stint as regional manager for Compaq. Mr. Root previously held the position of Manager of Technical Services at Terrapin Networks. His recent technical endeavors garnered the attention of Terrapin Networks CEO: Timothy Gillen. "Back in the day he sold office equipment products and cell phones; more recently he has been a high-end business consultant with emphasis in the technology space,” said Tim. “We’re extremely excited to have Jim back on board and look forward to utilizing his experience to advance our companies success,” added Mr. Gillen.

Mr. Root will handle the day to day operations of Terrapin Networks, including: the Tech Services team, Managed Services department, as well as Tech Services/Dispatch. He will also monitor the technical service delivery at Terrapin Networks. Jim is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a BS in Business Administration; his advanced tech training includes CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications; Cisco Sales Engineer (CSE2), Cisco Wireless LAN Sales Specialist, Cisco Network Fundamentals/ Routing Protocols and Cisco LAN Switching and Wireless; and Microsoft Networking Fundamentals and Windows Server 2008 Active Directory configuration.
