Bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry are among the original works of art that will transform a one mile stretch, along AIA and the ocean, from Jupiter Beach to Juno Beach into an outdoor gallery style art show. The 23rd Annual Art Fest by the Sea features 300 of the finest artists in the country including exceptional local artists from throughout South Florida as well as a first-rate Green Market, appealing to all tastes. Parking and admission are free.
Ranked among the top art fairs in the country, Art Fest by the Sea is popular among locals and tourists alike who look forward to the wide variety of fine art on display and for sale. The artists will line one mile of AIA starting at Marcinski Road in Jupiter Beach and continuing to Donald Ross Road in Juno Beach. All artists will be present for the duration of the show, available to discuss their art and inspiration. The event appeals to people of all ages as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections. Prices are set to suit all budgets and range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $30,000 sculptures.
“This is an extremely popular show,” says festival promoter Howard Alan. “Festival goers look forward to this show each year, they return to see their favorite artists and to explore the work of new and emerging talent, it’s a great opportunity to meet and connect with the artist before making a purchase, which makes the investment much more meaningful and personal.”
Exhibiting artists are juried by an independent panel of expert judges and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America.
A special exhibit of the Art Fest by the Sea Kids Art Competition will include the more than 300 entries of "turtle-themed" artwork submitted by students in grades K through 8th from twelve schools in Northern Palm Beach County. In addition, a winning piece was selected for the 2011 commemorative t-shirt which will be availalbe for purchase as well as notecards with 6 winning images printed on Sprouts! seed paper which turns into flowers when planted.
Adults will have the opportunity to learn from the talented and experienced instructors of Alla Prima, who will be teaching 45 minute classes at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day. The suggested $20 donation, which includes the class, the completed painting and a glass of wine will help fund art programs in local schools.
