MDT Software Wins Best Technical Application Award from Schneider Electric Partner Program
Award recognizes MDT AutoSave change management solution supporting Schneider Unity at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Alpharetta, GA, March 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MDT Software, a world leader in change management solutions for automated manufacturing assets, today announced that the company has received the “Best Technical Application” award for 2010 from Schneider Electric’s Collaborative Automation Partner Program (CAPP). The award was presented at the annual CAPP conference in Sophia-Antipolis, France. MDT was also nominated for the “Best Business Application” award for its installations within Rio Tinto mining facilities throughout Australia.
A growing number of airports around the world utilize MDT AutoSave change management software to manage changes within the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used to operate baggage handling and other facility systems. Automated baggage systems use PLCs to maximize transport and sorting efficiency as well as perform effective security screening. The MDT AutoSave system at the Charles de Gaulle Airport is paired with Schneider Electric’s Unity software through a seamless application program interface to provide a record of program changes and secure access to programs resulting in reduced unscheduled downtime, errors and security issues.
The MDT AutoSave application at Charles de Gaulle airport was among 60 CAPP applications evaluated by Schneider Electric’s CAPP champions. Out of those 60 evaluated, only five Schneider partners were nominated with MDT ultimately selected as the winner of the Best Technical Application Award. “MDT is honored for this recognition from Schneider Electric’s CAPP program,” said Gary Gillespie, vice president and general manager of MDT Software. “In uniting our products, MDT and Schneider Electric have succeeded in providing the Paris Airport, Rio Tinto and many other companies across multiple industries with a controlled and market-leading automation environment.”
