The V Foundation to Receive 2007 Expressions for Hope Proceeds
The V Foundation for Cancer Research has been named the beneficiary of Expressive Portraits Expressions for Hope 2007 fundraising effort.
Chester, VA, February 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Facts: Cancer kills about one American every minute of every day, or about 1,500 people every 24 hours. Three out of every four American families will have at least one family member diagnosed with cancer. Among children aged 14 and younger, an estimated 9,500 new cases of cancer were anticipated in 2006.
“It was not only the V Foundation's mission to save lives by helping to find a cure for cancer that led us to choose them,” explains Richard Slifkin, Expressive Portraits President, “but also the way in which they pursue their goal – by providing early developmental, critical-stage grant support to brilliant young researchers that will eventually find cures for cancer.”
By being chosen as the Expressions for Hope beneficiary, The V Foundation will receive 100% of the $2.00 purchase price of a seasonally designed border on a 3.5”x5” print which Expressive Portraits offers to its school and family portrait service customers. The prints are available for sale using any picture the company takes between February 1 and December 15, 2007. Additionally, Expressive Portraits has pledged $5.00 to the charity for every school the Company takes pictures at throughout the year. The Company will ask schools to match their $5.00 with an additional $5.00 for the charity.
