ZOMM Adds World-Class Talent to Technology Development Team
ZOMM continues its rapid expansion with the key hires of Joe Sines and Jim Gillispie to the company’s headquarters
Tulsa, OK, March 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ZOMM, LLC (www.zomm.com), a global technology company and developer of the world’s first Wireless Leash for mobile phones, announces the additions of Joe Sines and Jim Gillispie to the technology team at its Tulsa headquarters. Sines has been tapped as lead software architect and Gillispie takes on the responsibility of lead web developer.
“The talent we continue to add to the ZOMM team is truly amazing and humbling at the same time,” said Henry Penix, CEO of ZOMM, LLC. “Joe and Jim have worked with some of the largest technology and wireless companies in the world and they chose to join ZOMM. Their combined experience will have an immediate and lasting impact on our current and future initiatives worldwide.”
As lead software architect at ZOMM, Sines is relocating from Seattle to the company’s headquarters in Tulsa. His primary responsibilities include architecting and developing ZOMM’s desktop and mobile software applications, such as the newly released myZOMM software that allows users to customize and update their ZOMM Wireless Leash online. He has also developed advanced inventory control and software systems that have changed the landscape of ZOMM. In addition, Sines will play an instrumental role in future products and innovations planned for 2011.
Sines spent the first part of his career with the Department of the Navy, where he was an electronics systems mechanic for nearly 15 years. He performed electronics system maintenance for SSBN/SSGN Trident nuclear submarines and provided technical evaluation and troubleshooting for shipboard electronic equipment.
Following the Navy, Sines led the backend web development and traffic optimization efforts for three years at eAcceleration in Washington and then spent time as a software engineer at Aegis, an engineering firm in Seattle. At Aegis, Sines designed, implemented, integrated and tested a wide variety of software engineering services for clients like Boeing, T-Mobile and Intel. Sines’ diverse experience led him to Microsoft, where he was hired as a hardware test engineer in the Xbox Accessories Test Tools Group. He played an integral role in the development of test software applications from prototype to pre-launch phases for Kinect, the company’s best-selling accessory release.
Gillispie has joined the ZOMM team in Tulsa as lead web developer, responsible for maintaining ZOMM’s web presence and managing multiple ZOMM servers. He is the lead architect for building the web cloud that will become the intelligent backbone of upcoming ZOMM initiatives.
Gillispie draws upon significant programming experience, beginning with six years in the US Marine Corps developing fleet operations management systems. After the Marines, Gillispie took his talents to Sprint, where he was named a senior systems engineer charged with developing mid-range application systems and enterprise application integration (EAI) projects supporting Sprint’s business markets division.
ZOMM created the world’s first Wireless Leash for cell phones in 2010 and has been rapidly expanding its product line, global presence and technology applications since its introduction at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show.
