The 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid Will Go on Sale in Spring at Fette Infiniti
Clifton, NJ, March 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The all-new 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid, with a groundbreaking 350 horsepower and 32 mpg fuel-economy, will be on sale this spring at Fette Infiniti.
The Infiniti M35 Hybrid is the first true luxury performance vehicle in America to offer more than 350 horsepower and a 32 mpg fuel-economy. Fette Infiniti is proud to announce that the Infiniti M Hybrid is expected to be in its showroom in mid-to-late March.
In October 2009, Nissan announced that its Infiniti luxury brand would offer a gasoline-electric hybrid version of its M35 V6 powered luxury performance sedan in early 2011. The Infiniti M35h represents the automaker’s first in-house hybrid and a game changer in the luxury hybrid segment.
The Infiniti M Hybrid features a seven-speed automatic transmission converted with two clutches. A dry clutch allows the engine to be completely decoupled from the engine to cut out mechanical drag during full-eclectic operation, while the second wet clutch at the rear of the transmission is used to control torque and ensure a smooth ride. The hybrid system’s single electric motor is power by a 50-kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack. On electric power alone, the M35 hybrid is capable of reaching 62 mpg, allowing the 3.5-liter V6 engine plenty of downtime to improve fuel economy.
The 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid will have a price tag around $53,300, which is priced well below the M Hybrid’s closest competitor, the Lexus GS 450h.
