ProStor Systems Announces Distribution Agreement with JB&A
ProStor Systems and JB&A Partnership Expands Access to Digital Video Archive Market
Boulder, CO, March 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ProStor Systems, the leader in enterprise-class removable disk storage systems for business backup, archiving, and retention management, today announced a distribution agreement with JB&A to jointly pursue the digital video archive market.
JB&A, based in California and serving the North American market for 15 years, is unique mix of consultant, channel partner, solutions provider and distributor specializing in the streaming, IP video, medical, digital signage, post, broadcast and ProAV markets. With this agreement, JB&A will add the ProStor InfiniVault® to their digital asset management portfolio.
“JB&A’s strength in the digital arena makes them an ideal partner to drive additional ProStor market share in the digital video archive market,” said Ian Duncan, vice president of marketing and strategy of ProStor Systems. “InfiniVault provides video, audio, surveillance, broadcast, film, and animation organizations unprecedented reliability and access to archived digital assets over lengthy retention periods.”
ProStor customer Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters Inc. (AIB) uses InfiniVault as a cost-effective and scalable storage system for their digital video archive. AIB, the nation’s largest regional interfaith cable television network, operates with a minimum of 3.8 terabytes of data and video programming each day. “The scalability and ease of integration of InfiniVault made it a clear choice for us,” according to Pat Williams, vice president of operations at AIB. “InfiniVault installed and worked as promised by ProStor, and the life of the RDX® drives far exceeded the competition. We can trust that our programming is protected for the long haul.”
InfiniVault is an efficient solution for storing, protecting, and managing vast amounts of unstructured data, ensuring that digital assets are properly retained and easily retrieved so they can be transformed into revenue as files are used for creating TV programs, movies, video gaming, and their associated promotions.
“We’re very excited to carry InfiniVault and to work with ProStor to capture the digital video archive market,” said Jeff Burgess, CEO of JB&A. “The strength of their long-term data storage offering and their RDX drive technology makes them an ideal vendor for our portfolio.”
