Orlando Delbert Designs Film Titles for Director David Becker’s Film "Mirk Riders," Entry Into Boston Underground Film Festival

Los Angeles, CA, March 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- “Film Director David Becker, and I discussed collaborating on the film titles of his latest film, MIRK RIDERS,” said Orlando Delbert. “Once he began telling me about the project, I was excited because it reminded me somewhat of my growing up as a studio musician, and as part of the New York Hardcore scene many years ago. An added bonus was finding out shortly after my beginning on design and animation, the film’s selection into the Thirteenth Annual Boston Underground Film Festival.”

“He had a particular vision and feel he wanted to stay with, which was reminiscent of some classic American and European films. A kind of grittiness and texture, one sees in film noir and road films. I’ve always liked that. In a story like this, that subtleness of texture becomes a character of the film, and in some places, can even drive it. Using special effects software, I was able to work with those subtleties, and together with David, make it seem part of the film’s organic texture.”

The film is about an all female metal band "The Mirk Riders" which follows the drummer, Jane's descent into their world. Seen through the eyes and memory of the band leader, lead guitarist and singer of the band, Eve, played by Alisha Seaton, with Rob Delevere, Jamie Bernadette, and Jane is played by Victoria Taylor.
