Bayer MaterialScience LLC’s Michael Dvorchak Elected President of RadTech Board

Pittsburgh, PA, March 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bayer MaterialScience LLC scientist Michael Dvorchak has been nominated as president elect for the RadTech International North America board. He will assume the office of president for a two year term beginning in 2013. Dvorchak, strategic technology manager UV Cure Oligomers & PUDs, Government programs, Bayer MaterialScience LLC, has been a RadTech member since 1992.

Dvorchak served as the secretary of the RadTech board from 2008 until his recent election. He also has been co-chair of the RadTech North America Transportation Focus Group since 2004 and the Emerging Applications Group since 2009.

RadTech North America is a non profit organization dedicated to the advancement of ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technology through industry education and discussion. The organization promotes these technologies through trade shows, tech conferences and focus groups. According to Dvorchak, industry and organizational growth relies on RadTech’s ability to “enthusiastically introduce budding technologies into the mainstream coatings, inks and adhesives business areas, and to expand into new areas, such as aerospace, flooring, exterior UV coatings and new oligimer technology.”

Growth of the industry and organization is a key goal of Dvorchak’s presidency. As president of RadTech, he hopes to drive the UV/EB-cure concept into the mainstream of the coatings industry through increasing trade show attendance, expanding currently available web-based educational tools and training, and through continuing education at industry events.
