In The Huffington Post poet and novelist Eileen Myles cites CAConrad as one of the most influential contemporary poets. Eileen Myles also wrote the Afterword of his latest title, The Book of Frank (WAVE Books, 2010). This book is the recipient of The Gil Ott Book Award for Chax, as chosen by Nathaniel Mackey and Myung Mi Kim. In the Afterword Myles writes, “In piecing together, configuring and releasing his extreme miniatures – agonized fables, poems about America, CAConrad includes us all in the enormous outside of his heart. CAConrad is the son of white trash asphyxiation whose childhood included selling cut flowers along the highway for his mother and helping her shoplift. He is also the poetry editor of Bardic Sephulchral, an imprint of Fairies in America, published out of Asheville, NC by publisher Elizabeth Kirwin.
