New Website Reports on the Latest Sports-Related Tweets on Twitter
TweetsCenter.com provides in-depth coverage and analysis of tweets from your favorite athletes. Features include a Top 12 tweets of the week, Q&A, Power Rankings lists, Photoshops and more.
Minneapolis, MN, March 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- TweetsCenter.com is a website that focuses on reporting the latest sports-related tweets on Twitter.
"We felt that there was a lot of great content that can be found on Twitter," said reporter Clark Kang. "We wanted to find our niche and focus strictly on Twitter-related sports stories."
TweetsCenter.com monitors the tweets of over a thousand professional, college and highly-rated high school athletes and uses their tweets as 'raw material' to compose stories that provide a narrative in an easier-to-read format. The scrubbing of the tweets includes translating acronyms, fixing auto-correct casualties and more.
"I've been on Twitter for two years and still have a hard time deciphering some tweets," said Kang. "I'm sure I am not the only one that has this problem."
Research shows that Twitter's retention rate is very low when compared to other social networking sites. The stat-tracking firm Nielson reported in 2009 that 60% of Twitter users that sign up don't return a month later.
Every Tuesday, TweetsCenter will release their Top 12 which features the top tweets of the past week. The Power Rankings list is updated periodically with the rankings based on a tweeter's swagger, consistency, trash talk, groupie game, pic skills, sense of humor, # of tweets and # of followers.
