Katherine Minton, PhD, Joins American College of Healthcare Sciences as Academic Dean Beginning March 2011
Portland, OR, March 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) is proud to announce Katherine Minton, PhD, will join the ACHS faculty as Academic Dean beginning March 2011.
“I am really excited about joining the team at the American College of Healthcare Sciences,” says Dr. Minton. “Serving as the Academic Dean provides a wonderful way to combine my expertise in education and program development with my commitment to holistic wellness, organics, and interdisciplinary cooperation. Dr. Minton holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership/Systems with an interdisciplinary major in Educational Psychology and Biosocial Issues from the Union Institute and University. She has extensive experience as an educator in both the United States and Canada, and with multiple influences affecting successful learning, including environmental toxins and nutrition, neuroanatomy and sensory integration, developmental vision, and holistic treatments for ADD/ADHD.
In her position as ACHS Academic Dean, Dr. Minton will work primarily with ACHS President Dorene Petersen, Chief Institutional Officer Erika Yigzaw, and the college curriculum development team and faculty to further develop ACHS course offerings in keeping with accreditation standards, industry demands, and student interests.
