New Book Reveals Truth, Suffering and Aftermath of Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a very real topic in our society today...one that many do not want to talk about. Kelly Cyr has braved the horrors of domestic violence only to come out a survivor. She shares her experience in her candidly written book Supreme Love.

Denver, CO, February 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In her new book, this author portrays her horrific struggle of trying to stop abuse in her life. Marriage counseling and psychiatrists did not help. When she finally separates and tries to divorce her husband, the abuse only escalated. Pleas to the judge were ignored and her lawyer walks out on her. On the verge of desperate measures to finally end the abuse and gain peace in her life, she experiences a supernatural spiritual conversion.

Kelly Cyr had everything a woman could ever want. A wonderful career, a beautiful home, five children she adored and a good future that could only promise more. The only problem was her husband and his abuse. Her battered life cloaked in secrecy is revealed in her newest book. She kept trying to make the marriage work out of the love for her family. Her attempts at marriage counseling are captured in her story and how they only made it worse. Her visits to try to help her marriage turned her life into a living nightmare.

Cyr writes candidly about how her life deteriorates - from court hearings to idle threats. Ms. Cyr captures the acts of rage and revenge in her writing. Unbelievable events take place in her story...who would have thought after all she had been through that her lawyer would walk out on her or have a judge ignore her pleas to allow her to move out of her house - she was trapped and did not even dare to run from him. Having no protection, she is forced to withstand his continual violence towards her.

This is a horrific and harrowing account of what really happens during domestic violence.

The author writes with great courage of her ordeal in the hope that the public becomes aware of what really happens in an abusive relationship and gains understanding. She writes to be a voice for battered women. Her mission now is to stop domestic violence. This book is especially brave for her ex-husband has sworn to sue her and take drastic action against her.
