Welenken Himmelfarb & Co. Rebranded as Welenken CPAs

Louisville, KY, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Donald E. Groot, a partner in the Louisville-based accounting firm of Welenken Himmelfarb & Co., announced that the 66-year-old company is being rebranded as Welenken CPAs. The new logo was unveiled and a new website launched in late February.

Groot said the reason for the change is a matter of simplifying. “Our name was difficult to pronounce,” he said, “and we wanted to update our logo.” Groot said he and the other partners of Welenken CPAs – Michael A. Wertheim, Jerry Solzman, Stuart H. Robenson, Roy C. Hoagland III and William H.A. Ruf – decided it is time to gain more name recognition for the 36-employee firm.

“As our new tagline says, we are CPA strategists. Since 1945 we have been serving businesses, nonprofits and individuals throughout the region with reliability and expertise,” he said. “We provide the full range of accounting, tax planning and management services and are located downtown; yet we have been flying under the radar.”

Groot said he believes that simplifying the name and rebranding the company will help Welenken’s partners and employees network more effectively and leverage their involvement throughout the community and the region. According to “The Lane List” in the February 2011 issue of The Lane Report, Welenken CPAs is among the 20 largest CPA firms in Kentucky.
