SEFAC in the Community
Mobile lift manufacturer, SEFAC, supports the local community by sponsoring the Hereford Robotics Club.
Baltimore, MD, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- SEFAC, Inc. manufacturer of SEFAC heavy-duty mobile lifts, located in Baltimore, Maryland is proud to be one of the sponsors for the Hereford Robotics Club for the upcoming 2011 VEX Robotics World Championship. The championship will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, Florida and will take place April 13-16, 2011.
“As a manufacturer of highly technical products, SEFAC is proud to be one of the sponsors of the Hereford Robotics Club,” says Allister Collings, President of SEFAC, Inc. “This sponsorship allows SEFAC to support the local community as well as encourage pioneers of tomorrow in the field of electronics and mechanical engineering.”
The Hereford Robotics Club was created in 2006 and has grown tremendously over the past few years, participating in many local, national, and international competitions. In 2009-2010 the robotics club had its largest growth, not only at the high school level but at the middle school level through its mentorship program. The freshman team, 929Z has been particularly successful while attending the Mid-Atlantic VEX Championship in March of 2010 and winning the Amaze Award for demonstrating overall quality. Most recently the 929Z team earned the Create Award for the best creative engineering design and received their invitation to the 2011 World Championship scheduled for April 2011.
Allister Collings adds, “Being able to support young innovators of advanced electrical technology went hand-in-hand with the engineering science that SEFAC instills within its own products. We wish the club well at the championship.”
