Intruder Caught on Video by Sonitrol, Arrested by Sarasota County Police

Sarasota, FL, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested a man for loitering and prowling on the rooftop of a local business after Sonitrol of Sarasota reported real time video of the suspect.

Central Station Supervisor Murshid Normand received security alerts at 10:56pm on February 21, 2011. He contacted the Sarasota County Police department, notified them of the alarm, and that Sonitrol had real-time video of the subject. Officers arrived on scene and surrounded the building. Once the fire department arrived, the suspect approached the rear of the building, was ordered down and detained. Officers then utilized SCFD’s ladder truck to clear the rooftop.

At this point, the defendant was arrested and charged with loitering and prowling and transported to the SSO jail.
