BlokNgrab Receives New Patent for Its Clamping Device & Method
The BlokNgrab product will define a new era in fixture clamping and CNC productivity.
Blaine, WA, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- BlokNgrab, a Washington based manufacturer of CNC tooling and fixture components has been awarded Patent #7900897 for a Workpiece Clamping Device and Method. The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted this Patent.
The BlokNgrab clamping device, according to its Patent and Claims, provides the CNC manufacturing community with a new concept clamping device and method to attach already first operation machined parts onto fixtures to perform final machining operation. Unlike all other fixture clamps, the BlokNgrab device moves up, down, in and out to “down clamp” the workpiece to the fixture. Rotating one-screw controls all BlokNgrab movements. Down clamping removes most part clamping variables and is considered the most reliable method to attach parts to fixtures.
The patented features of the BlokNgrab product and method will define a new era in fixture clamping and CNC productivity. Because BlokNgrab may be used within the part shape, maximum part load quantities may be presented to the machining center for processing. This advantage will greatly reduce the amount of labor charged to a job, encourage lights out, weekend, 2nd & 3rd shift machining, reduce costs and possibly impact the decision to outsource work by OEM’s.
