The annual ANZAC Day at the Shrine will take place on 15 April 2011. The event begins with a Dawn Service that will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance starting at 6am. DirectRooms.com announces that the public is welcome to attend the event and those wishing to partake in the Dawn Service should arrive at the Shrine by 5:30am.
Melbourne, Australia, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- At 8:15am, there will be an Official Wreath Laying Service. Officials will march to the Forecourt and enter the Shrine, laying wreaths in the Sanctuary.
The festivities continue at 9am with the commencement of the ANZAC Day March. This will begin at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets and will continue along St. Kilda Road to the Shrine. Marchers will dismiss when they reach the steps to the Shrine.
Commemoration Services are scheduled to be held between 1pm and 1:30pm. The Shrine will be open to the public following the commemorative services.
This is a community event and no admission will be charged to those who attend.
