Biometric Signature ID Receives Award from the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund
Biometric Signature ID was awarded a $550,000 investment for the commercialization of their patented identity management products as part of the ETF program developed by the State of Texas for emerging technologies. BSI’s technology provides an improvement to current methodologies which use a password without truly identifying the person inputting it. BSI completed a successful pilot program at the University of Texas as part of this process.

(BSI) announced today that the patented BioSig-ID identity management solution has been selected by the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF) to receive a TETF Commercialization Award. The TETF Commercialization Award recognizes groundbreaking solutions and funds early-stage investments in new, technology-based, private entrepreneurial entities to help accelerate time-to-market, stimulate economic growth through the creation of new jobs, and attract more cutting-edge companies to the State of Texas. The TETF’s 17-member advisory committee consists of well-respected high-tech leaders, entrepreneurs, and research experts handpicked by Governor Rick Perry. The committee reviews emerging technology submissions by reviewing the proposal, vetting the solution, reviewing the pilot, business plan and other factors before making funding allocation recommendations to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House.
