Beer Aficionados Rejoice: Charlotte Craft Beer Week
An all-out celebration of Craft Beer to be held at another anticipated Charlotte Craft Beer Week March 11 – March 20, 2011.
Charlotte, NC, March 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Beer aficionados rejoice! Craft and Import beer fans of Charlotte will be happy to know that their efforts of requesting and purchasing great beer in the area is being rewarded with another Charlotte Craft Beer Week to be held from March 11 to March 20.
The founders of Charlotte Craft Beer Week have put the event together for the second year to continue growing awareness and support for craft beer in the region and to introduce more people to some of the best beers in the world available locally. The nearly 40 events this year are being held throughout Charlotte at venues including Taco Mac, Kickstand, Mellow Mushroom, The Flying Saucer, the Common Market and at one of Charlotte’s newest craft brew meccas: Growlers Pour House – voted in the Top 100 Best Beer Bars by Draft Magazine.
"Charlotte Craft Beer Week is a fun, grass roots planned event, unmatched by any other in the region," said Darrin Pikarsky, founder of the Charlotte Beer Club and Charlotte Craft Beer Week. "Our goal is to provide examples of the best beers in the United Stated and abroad, to craft beer lovers in Charlotte, through hand selected events.”
Jeff Tonidandel, co-owner of Growlers Pour House, located in the artsy neighborhood of NoDa, says, “Craft Beer Week provides an excellent way for us to showcase Growlers Pour House, and specifically our focus on offering different styles of American Craft Beer.” Growlers has a list of harder-to-find beers that rotates on a regular basis. They also offer a Beer Ed every first Tuesday of the month at 7pm to help educate people on beer.

March 15th (Tuesday) - March Madness Kick-Off and Tapping a keg of Foothills' Brewery Sexual Chocolate
March 16th (Wed) - DJ starts at 10pm
March 17th (Thursday) - St. Patty's Day - Bringing in 2 new St. Patty's Day American Craft Beers
March 18th (Friday) - DJ starts at 10pm
March 19th (Saturday) - DJ starts at 10pm
