MEGAJOULE Inovação Announces Results of the Ongoing WindieTM Validation Programme

Maia, Portugal, March 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MEGAJOULE|Inovação released results of the ongoing Windie™ Validation Programme. In its commitment to provide an increasingly better service to its clients, MEGAJOULE|Inovação performs continuing validation studies of its CFD results. In its “Windie™ White Paper 2010/11”, the company presents results of 38 comparisons between Windie™ results and measured wind data, on 5 sites on 4 different countries. The sites vary from simple to complex terrain, with and without forest cover. The programme, focussed on resource assessment results, includes comparisons with real wind farm production data and with SODAR measured wind profiles. Windie™ results are shown to outperform predictions obtained with WAsP and another wind engineering CFD tool.

Windie™’s validation programme is continuously growing and an additional White Paper will be released soon concerning the validation of site assessment results.
