Ingram Micro’s Data Capture/POS Division Signs Distribution Agreement with epcSolutions to Offer RFIDTagManager the Leading RFID Compliance Software
RFIDTagManager™ the most installed software for Wal*Mart RFID compliance now available through Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division.
Great Falls, VA, February 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- epcSolutions Inc., today announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor, to distribute epcSolutions’ innovative RFIDTagManager.
This distribution agreement will be facilitated through Ingram Micro's Data Capture/POS Division, a leading distributor of automatic identification/data capture (AIDC), RFID, point-of-sale (POS) and mobile computing products.
The newly renamed Data Capture/POS division will add epcSolutions’ RFIDTagManager, the most installed RFID compliance software for the current 600 Wal*Mart suppliers, to its product offering. RFIDTagManager has the capability to be set-up and print Wal*Mart, DoD or Best Buy compliant labels in under one hour as a standalone solution, or can be fully integrated with many back-end systems. RFIDTagManager 3.5 has added full DoD compliance support including Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Advance Ship Notice (ASN) and UID. Wal*Mart compliance support now includes the capability for Data Synchronization (GDSN) and Advance Ship Notice (ASN). RFIDTagManager 3.5 also includes an API for advance integration with back-end systems.
Along with RFIDTagManager 3.5, Ingram Micro will also distribute TetraGate, the next generation access control platform. Coupled with a Zebra Technologies RFID GEN2 ID card, printed and encoded on a Zebra RFID GEN2 ID Badge Printer, TetraGate incorporates an IP camera from Infinova to capture the facial image and match that image with the facial image in the database, which then verifies that the person carrying the ID badge is the correct person. When a GEN2 RFID reader verifies the ID number, it will allow them access to the secure zone.
“Ingram Micro is the world's largest technology distributor; their reach into a base of customers that can implement our solutions increases our marketplace," stated Kevin Kail, president of epcSolutions. “Class 1 Generation 2 RFID is a worldwide standard and Ingram Micro’s global delivery capability and commitment to EPCglobal’s standards is important to companies around the world.”
"We continue to grow our line card and provide our customers with access to the most comprehensive RFID solutions in the industry. We recognize epcSoultions experience in helping companies to implement RFID to solve business problems including becoming RFID compliant under a mandate,” said Justin Scopaz, director, vendor management for Ingram Micro. "epcSolutions delivers to our resellers the opportunity to leverage scalable RFID solutions to grow their business.”
