DirectRooms.com – Dalian Marathon Gathers International Athletes

Dalian, China, March 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On 18th April the Dalian International Marathon 2011 is inviting runners of all fitness levels to take part. The level of competition is always high and entrants this year will be seeing if the months of training and strict diet routines have been enough to see them cross the finish line in first place.

The course covers an official marathon distance of 26 miles and 385 yards and the event has been recognised to be an international competition by the International Association of Athletics Federations due to the number of runners from overseas that come to take part. Professional runners will be competing for the prize money on offer in the male and female categories while other runners are due to head out for fun and to raise money for local charities in the area.

This is now the 25th version of the tournament which began in 1987 and achieved international status in 1997. Previous race days have attracted close to 10,000 runners and even more spectators and this is going to affect Dalian hotels again this year as attendances are set to reach similar levels.
