GoVision LEDs Pump Up Courtside Effects During Conference Tournament Week
LED scoring tables and other GoVision screens enhance tournament, NCAA® Final Four® viewing experience for fans on-site and those following the action on television.
Argyle, TX, March 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Fans following their favorite teams during Conference Tournament Week are bound to see more than great college basketball action. They may find it hard to miss state-of-the-art LED screens provided by GoVision as well. And when teams take the court for the NCAA Men’s Final Four in Houston, GoVision will be courtside again.
One of the nation's premier full-service LED screen providers, GoVision, L.P. (www.jumbo.tv), has installed custom-built LED screens at tournament sites across the country to enhance the viewing experience for fans on-site and those following the action on television. Some highlights –
SEC Men’s and Women’s Tournaments
GoVision installed 3-foot by 60-foot LED scoring tables comprised of Daktronics PST-12HD tiles to run sponsorship content, game statistics and other graphics throughout the Southeastern Conference Men’s Tournament being held in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome this weekend. In addition to displaying sponsor and team logos and other graphics, GoVision will present real-time game data fed by the SEC. So when the University of Kentucky’s Terrence Jones steps up to the free-throw line in the fourth period, his headshot will appear on the screen along with up-to-the-moment game stats (e.g., points scored, free-throw and field-goal percentages). GoVision provided the same service during the SEC Women’s Tournament in Nashville last week.
Conference USA Tournament
GoVision has provided two 9-foot x 16-foot LED scoreboards, powered by a Daktronics Sports Controller, for the Conference USA Men’s Basketball Tournament taking place in El Paso, TX, this weekend. A far cry from standard scoreboards, GoVision has configured full-blown, state-of-the-art LED screens with templates to display real-time scores, statistics and sponsor content. The Company is also providing and servicing the tournament’s shot clocks.
Sun Belt Conference Tournament
GoVision provided a 12-foot x 16-foot LED video screen for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament that concluded Thursday at the Hot Springs Convention Center Arena in Hot Springs, AR. The giant screen offered fans superb views of the live game action, replays and sponsor advertising. GoVision also installed 3-foot x 40-foot LED scoring tables, comprised of Daktronics tiles, and formatted all of the content and graphics supplied by the Conference and its sponsors.
SWAC Tournament
A similar set-up is in place for the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament in Garland, TX, where GoVision configured 3-foot by 40-foot LED scoring tables. Game statistics, conference and sponsor graphics and other content will be displayed throughout this weekend’s SWAC Men’s Tournament action.
NCAA Final Four
And, for the third consecutive year, GoVision’s screens will be deployed for the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championships. A 30-inch by 60-foot sideline board, made from Daktronics I6-BK LED tiles, will be installed between the two team benches at Reliant Stadium during the NCAA Men’s Final Four tournament. The board will display player headshots and statistics, sponsor graphics and other game content.
“We’re proud to earn the NCAA’s business again at their most-watched sporting event, and very excited to add so many conference tournaments to the mix this year as well,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision. “Our LED scoring tables and sideline boards have become a huge hit with our clients in the sports industry, which has enabled us to expand the scope of our service offerings to this important segment.”
