Mission Possible is a global network dedicated to educating the world about Rumsfeld’s disease, named after Donald Rumsfeld, U.S. Secretary of Defense and former CEO of the drug company, G.D. Searle, a former subsidiary of the biotech giant Monsanto. Commonly known as NutraSweet, aspartame is a highly pernicious substance consumed in vast quantities all over the world. It is a synthetic non-caloric chemical consisting of 40% aspartic acid, 50% phenylalanine and 10% methanol. “Aspartame has, at some time, accounted for 80 percent of product complaints filed with the FDA in one year. The FDA has published a list of 92 symptoms of aspartame poisoning ­including memory loss, weight gain, blood glucose disorders, seizures, blindness and death”, cites Martini. Today aspartame is found in an estimated 9,000 products commonly consumed by infants, children, teenagers, adults and seniors such as soda pop, gum, jams, baked goods, ice cream, yogurt, cereals, pediatric vitamins and prescription drugs and more.

In 1976 the U.S. Department of Justice convened a grand jury investigation of aspartame developer G.D. Searle for defrauding the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Searle’s petition for product approval. The carcinogenic nature of Aspartame will be reported in a scientific conference Sept. 18-21, 2005

Reporting to the Ministry of Health and to the Superior Institute of Health of the Italian government in April 2005, the Cancer Research Center of the European Foundation of Oncology and Environmental Sciences "B. Ramazzini" in Bologna, Italy found that aspartame is a carcinogenic agent, capable of inducing lymphomas and leukemia in female rats, including when administered at dose levels very close to the acceptable daily intake for humans. These findings were recently communicated to the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center of Columbia University, the National Cancer Institute of the US government, and the National Toxicology Program of the US National Institutes of Health. Martini is encouraged by the response she is getting as movie goers leave the theatre and are handed a flyer and a copy of The Artificially Sweetened Times. In The Constant Gardener, HIV-positive Africans are the guinea pigs for Big Pharma. But they are not the only ones. “In South America”, Martini remarks, “GD Searle, the originator of Aspartame, did their drug trials on people in poor South American villages. Many developed brain tumors; other’s had seizures. And just like in the fictionalized Constant Gardener, many clinical trial subjects disappeared into unmarked graves.”

"Inevitably Codex will affect the US if not stopped. This is essentially the rulemaking body of the WTO on food and food safety. Codex now threatens to take away consumers' access to all vitamins and food to put them under the control of Big Pharma. England and France are big aspartame markets for Merisant and Ajinomoto where consumers' only source of supplements soon will be Big Pharma. Reports from the UK are they're laced with aspartame. Corinne Gouget, Mission Possible France, reported aspartame in magnesium and vitamins. When asked didn't they know aspartame is dangerous the chemist replied, 'yes, but we only use a small amount'."

Martini says their agenda is to weaken supplements till they're powerless, add addictive aspartame so consumers buy more and more while they get sicker and sicker. Without pure and safe supplements to counter these abominations consumers will buy Big Pharma prescription poisons; and BP heads to the bank with a lorry full of money.
