mamemo productions to Organize Historic TEDxRamallah Conference in Palestine
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- mamemo productions is proud to announce that it is organizing the very first ever TEDxRamallah conference to be held in Palestine on 16.April 2011 at the Convention Palace, Bethlehem.
The event will bring together leading thinkers and innovators from around the world looking to sharing their inspiring ideas with the rest of the world. Aside from the main venue inside Palestine, the TEDxRamallah will also have two live satellite events in Lebanon and Jordan, where offsite speakers and audiences will interact live through the web as well as TEDxLive live-streaming events in several key cities around the world, bringing the total live and virtual audience of this event to several thousand.
The conference is a collaboration between mamemo productions’ Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela and TEDxRamallah official licensee and curator Ramzi Jaber. mamemo productions will provide the framework for the stage and speaker management, venue design and execution, technical support, and coordination of the event flow. To support the speakers’ presentation, mamemo will also develop the intelligence to visualize their ideas and show the world the beauty of Palestine and the outstanding contributions of Palestinians around the world.
“This event is a milestone for all of us,” says Sam Katiela, a Palestinian who grew up in Germany. “When Ramzi and I met for the first time, I knew that this was going to be a realization of one of my deepest passions: to present the possibilities of the Palestinian people to the world audience. TEDxRamallah will be a nonpolitical event that will have the feel of the local culture through the design and content of the whole event.”
Speaking on this collaboration, Ramzi Jaber, himself a Palestinian raised in the UAE says, “We are happy that mamemo productions is partnering with TEDxRamallah, they are fully engaged with TEDxRamallah's theme of inspiring stories of Palestine and TED's mission of ‘Ideas worth spreading’. They will do a fantastic job!”
Joumana Al Jabri, TEDxRamallah@Beirut curator and Satellite Events Coordinator says, “mamemo has a challenging job to fulfill for TEDxRamallah: to bring cohesion between speakers of inspiration, TED standards, three cities (Ramallah, Beirut, Amman), a uniquely diverse audience, and a team that has been passionately working on bringing TEDxRamallah to life for the past nine months. It is no small task, and from the past few weeks of working with them, we see that the task is in capable hands not only to lead the event but to truly fly with it!”
