Prom Goes to the Dogs for a Good Cause

Fredericksburg, VA, March 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Your high school prom has truly gone to the dogs. The red carpet is rolling out for the 2011 White Tie and Tails Doggie Prom, a fundraiser and benefit for the United Maltese Rescue, Inc. (UMR). The gala event will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 6:00-9:00pm, at Pup 'N Iron Canine Fitness & Learning Center in Fredericksburg, VA. Human and canine guests will get a chance to trip the light fantastic, strut their stuff and flaunt their tuxes, tails and tiaras while enjoying music, food, a "Muttini bar," entertainment, raffles, and silent auction, all to raise funds to help the UMR in it's mission to aid homeless dogs in the Mid-Atlantic area.

The highlight of the evening will be the selection of a prom queen to reign over events alongside designated prom king and host, "Andrew the Great Maltese," star of the CBS hit show, Greatest American Dog! Each human and pet guest will leave with a complimentary doggy gift bag and memories to last a lifetime, including a signature prom picture. Advance tickets for the event are $15 per person, $25 per couple and all well mannered dogs are Free. Cost at the door $20 per person, $30 per couple.
