DirectRooms.com – The OMV Marathon Will Take Place for the Tenth Year in Linz on 10 April 2011
DirectRooms.com announces that runners and spectators will travel to Linz to take part in the OMV marathon on Sunday the 10th April.
Linz, Austria, March 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This year will be the tenth anniversary of the prestigious marathon and the Austrian city is likely to attract around 100,000 spectators and 14,000 runners who will book cheap Linz hotels during the three day event which will kick off on Friday 8th April. Runners will arrive on the 8th of April to receive their issue numbers, as well as the computer chips which will record their running times.
The city of Linz provides the perfect backdrop for the whole host of events which will take place on Sunday 10th April, these include; the main OMV marathon, Oberbank Half marathon, OÖNachrichten relay marathon, Intersport Eybl Quarter Maratho, and the Handbike and Inline Skating Half Marathon. The ASICS junior marathon will be run on Saturday 9th April.
It is necessary to register online in order to participate in the events and participants can do this on the main event website. Late registration is possible on Friday 8th April.
A marathon Expo will be held at the Brucknerhaus, Untere Donaulaende on the 8th, 9th and 10th April where runners will be able to buy sports and nutrition products and medical equipment. It is the perfect opportunity to find out about other sports events and network with other runners.
