Pizza Fusion Launches Next Location into Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Pizza Fusion (www.pizzafusion.com), an all-natural and organic pizza franchise announces the grand opening of their newest location in South Florida.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, February 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- “Saving the Earth, One Pizza at a Time!” That is the motto of Pizza Fusion, one of the restaurant industry’s hottest concepts in America today. Franchisee owners Michael Block, along with Jeffrey and Sandra Yagoda, all from South Florida, have recently announced the Grand Opening of the next Pizza Fusion store located in the Gateway Shops Plaza at the NW corner of Sunrise Blvd. & US1 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“I knew from the instant that I walked into the Deerfield Beach location and had the pizza that this was a great idea,” says Block. “This is not the typical pizzeria. The pizzas are not only unique with their slender shape and amazingly fresh ingredients, but the entire concept is one that I know this area will truly enjoy.”
The heart of the menu focuses around all-natural, organic and gluten-free items and even features items for vegans and vegetarians alike. There are an abundance of healthy choice options ranging from the pizza toppings, to the salads and sandwiches, all of which are available with pesticide-fee vegetables and hormone-free poultry or beef. Organic desserts, such as brownies and cookies along with a full array of beverages including organic sodas, wine and beer, and a specialty gluten-free beer are also served up at Pizza Fusion.
The store features a modern design and contemporary décor with an open kitchen and a small dine-in area. Takeout along with delivery is also available and “the vehicles used for the deliveries are unlike any other,” says Jeffrey Yagoda.
As part of the Pizza Fusion model, the franchisee owners have purchased a fleet of hybrid vehicles that are uniquely wrapped in fusion-style and are earth-friendly. “I’ve seen these little hybrids deliver all across town in Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton and they are a great way to get the product out there!” says Sandra Yagoda.
Block and the Yagodas are seasoned entrepreneurs and are partners in B & Y Restaurants, which own the rights to the Ft. Lauderdale franchise along with the Miami-Dade territory where they will be opening more Pizza Fusion locations in the near future.
Michael Block is currently director of CoreGear, an outdoor sportswear company, and serves on the board of Voices For Children, a foundation that provides support and financial assistance to abused and neglected children. Prior to that he was a top executive for Hasbro, the world’s second largest maker of games and toys.
Jeffrey Yagoda, along with wife Sandra, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Pizza Fusion. Jeffrey, a South Florida native, is a proven leader within the restaurant franchise industry. Over the past 24 years, he has been an owner and operator of a KFC and Taco Bell combo franchise, which ranked in the top 5% for the state of Florida in sales and has been consistently awarded by KFC Corporate for outstanding sales, leadership, and operational excellence. Sandra Yagoda, also raised in Miami, is a top-producing realtor at EWM Real Estate, which is the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates.
The grand opening event and ribbon cutting ceremony, which is open to the public, is set to take place on Saturday, March 24th at 5:30 p.m. at 1013 N. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33304. The event will feature live entertainment, product samples, free organic beer and wine, along with a huge raffle of prizes from Aniheuser-Busch, Bloomingdale’s, Newman’s Own Organics and more! Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Celiac Disease Foundation, which provides support and assistance to those battling with the disease.
