Levens Communications & A Higher Calling Theater Company Offer a Sneak Peek Into Their Hit New Stage Play "Stripped" and Its All Star Cast
Levens Communications, founded by former Green Bay Packer, Dorsey Levens, joins forces with writer Tiffany Brown of A Higher Calling Theatre Company to bring their sophomore production “Stripped” to the stage.
Atlanta, GA, March 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The duo debuted their partnership with the release of their first stage play “Torn” which opened to rave reviews at Atlanta’s 14th Street Playhouse in 2010.
“Stripped” will begin its highly anticipated run on July 27, 2011 and will be showing through July 31st at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts. A staged reading will be held on Thursday, March 17th at Studio Clout to give special guests and sponsors insight into the “Stripped” project, as well as an up close and personal introduction to the cast.
Similar to “Torn”, the cast of “Stripped” features many former athletes including Dorsey Levens, Ryan Stewart, Ed Hartwell, and Karon Joseph Riley. Art imitates life and vice versa as “Stripped”s storyline reflects on the life of professional football player Jayden Dorsey, played by Dorsey Levens. Atlanta Housewives’ Lisa Wu Hartwell will offer a compelling performance as Brooklyn Dorsey, Jayden’s wife.
Since the inception of Levens Communications, the Atlanta community has offered overwhelming support to this non-profits mission to provide quality entertainment to the public. Destiny Metropolitan Church, Mr. Levens’ church home was the host of his first production and the response exceeded the cast and crews expectations having sold out crowds for several shows before moving the production to the 14th Street Playhouse.
As an esteemed alumnus and record holder for the Yellow Jackets football team, Dorsey Levens brings his production back home to The Georgia Tech Ferst Center with great pride and the hope that the showcase of the creative talent involved will provide an enriching experience for audiences this July.
The “Stripped” staged reading will be held at Studio Clout, 144 Walker Street on March 17, 2011 at 6:30PM. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Tiffany Brown at Tiffanyb.ahc@gmail.com.
