Anjie Kokan Launches Prompts for Writers Through Blogspot.com

Madison, WI, March 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Anije Kokan is thrilled to launch her new blog, Prompts for Writers, at blogspot.com. The direct link is www.promptsforwriters.blogspot.com. Prompts for Writers will offer a variety of prompts every week for creative writers of all genres. Prompts are designed with adults and youth in mind. They are appropriate for middle school and high school students. Kokan’s Prompts for Writers offers prompts that are adaptable for all writers and will also serve as a great resource for creative writing teachers and facilitators of creative writing workshops. “I want to offer a little something for everyone,” Kokan remarked. “These prompts will be versatile and give writers choices. They will help people who write fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry.”

Kokan will include pictures or videos with the prompts to enhance enjoyment and increase possibilities. “This is not your typical one or two word creative writing prompt with a limited option,” Kokan states. “The prompts I am designing will offer a small commentary about how one might want to take on the subject. The aim is to stimulate the mind with a variety of options for creative expression.”

Anjie Kokan has been teaching in various non-traditional settings since 1994. She holds a master’s degree in education from Shenandoah University and is an award-winning writer. Her writing has earned recognition from the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, the Wisconsin Regional Writers’ Association, and the Council for Wisconsin Writers. She is a founding member of Grace River Poets and leads a group of teen writers called the Paperback Writers. For Kokan, writing and teaching are passions that go hand-in-hand. She loves working with writers of all ages and abilities.

Kokan believes that it is important for everyone to be in tune with one’s own creativity. “Especially in hard times, it is essential to tune into our creativity.
