Watson, Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins discovered the structure of the DNA, which is called the “Code of Life.” In June 26, 2000, a historic White House event with British Prime Minister, Tony Blair and President Clinton announced that the international Human Genome Project and Celera Genomics Corporation have both completed an initial sequencing of the human genome -- the genetic blueprint for human beings.
