The Lake Norman Home Builders Association (LNHBA) Recently Presented Its Annual Awards in Recognition of 2010 Excellence in Leadership
“Builder Member of the Year” was awarded to Geoff Bowen, founder and president of EFC Builders, based in Troutman, NC. Mary Ellen MacDonald, a mortgage loan originator with Peoples Bank in Cornelius, NC, was named “Associate Member of the Year.” The 2010 “Rookie Member of the Year” award went to Joan Inglis, owner and lead designer of Carolina Spaces, LLC, based in Lake Wylie, SC.
Charlotte, NC, March 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Geoff Bowen, the “Builder Member of the Year,” is a NC Accredited Master Builder, Certified Green Professional, and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. He also is a Lead Paint Certified Renovator. Bowen is an active builder member of LNHBA. He chartered and chaired the association’s Remodelers Council, and is actively involved in Central Carolinas Green Building Council. Bowen received a North Carolina Home Builders Association STARS Award when he recently was named 2010 Distinguished Builder Member of the Year. “Associate Member of the Year,” MaryEllen MacDonald, is very active in LNHBA. MacDonald is an Associate Director, the 2011 board liaison to the Associates committee, and was 2010 chair of the Professional Women in Building Council. She assists with the Golf and Membership committees and also has been a major event sponsor for the association. MacDonald has over 30 years of banking experience. “I love assisting clients, friends and neighbors in finding the right financial solution, and volunteering in my community just adds to the blessing,” she said. Joan Inglis received the “Rookie Member of the Year” award for her service work on Best of the Lake Design Competition, Parade of Homes, Public Relations & Communications, and the Real Estate & Financing committees. She also is a member of the Central Carolinas Green Building Council. Inglis is a Master Home Staging Professional, an interior designer, and a REALTOR® with CD Realty.
