Naperville Clinical Services Adds Psychologist to Staff
Naperville, IL, March 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Naperville Clinical Service—a group practice in Naperville dedicated to providing high quality therapy to individuals, couples and families throughout the western suburbs—has added a new licensed clinical psychologist to its staff: Joel D. Carnazzo, Psy.D.
Dr. Carnazzo provides individual and family therapy services and specializes in working with adolescents and their families and in the treatment of mood disorders.
“I’m really excited about working in the multi-cultural Naperville community and trying to make a positive impact on the patients I treat,” said Dr. Carnazzo, 42, a Chicago resident who was raised in Omaha, Neb. “Naperville Clinical Services is a wonderful practice, and I’m proud to be part of a strong, skilled team of clinicians.”
Most recently, Dr. Carnazzo served as director of clinical training and assistant professor at the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University, Schaumburg. He formerly worked in the Youth Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient program at Rush Behavioral Health at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights and at the Families and Adolescents in Recovery program in Schaumburg. Previous posts include owner of JDC & Associates, his own private practice in Rolling Meadows; and coordinator of clinical research and project coordinator for the Asher Center for the Study and Treatment of Depressive Disorders at Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago.
Dr. Carnazzo is a graduate of the Adler School of Professional Psychology, where he earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology and doctorate in clinical psychology. He is recognized by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
