Denver, CO, February 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In recognition of outstanding interior design, the Best in American Living Gold Award for Best Amenity/Facility was presented to Kimberly Timmons Interiors for the Corte Bella Social Center and Anacapa Grille Restaurant. Sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders and Professional Builder magazine, the prestigious Best in American Living Awards showcase homes and communities nationwide that exemplify the best in architecture and interior design. The 2006 Awards were presented on February 6, 2007 in conjunction with the National Association of Home Builders’ annual convention and exposition in Orlando. Kimberly Timmons Interiors was the only Colorado interior design firm to be recognized in this national competition.
In addition to the design of the award-winning Social Center and Anacapa Grille, Kimberly Timmons Interiors designed all of the amenity buildings for the Corte Bella Country Club, including design of the Golf Clubhouse and Fitness Center for this Pulte Homes/Del Webb community located in Sun City West, Arizona. Corte Bella is Del Webb’s first active adult gated country club and was designed to offer seniors an active, quiet lifestyle, set amidst lush landscaping, mission style architecture, and intimate, vibrant interiors. The Anacapa Grille and Social Center is designed with authentic materials that define the Mediterranean and Spanish styles, and evoke the mystery, charm and romance that the Santa Barbara style is known for. “We are proud of our dedicated design team’s creative work on the Corte Bella Country Club,” said Kimberly Timmons, Principal, “and receiving a Gold award for our first entry in this national competition is especially meaningful.” The Hospitality design team was led by Michelle Horn, KTI’s Senior Designer and Project Manager, whose group works closely with developers, builders, architects and marketing teams to create celebrated, highly functional designs that meet many development needs, including sustainability, marketability, code specificity and community appeal.
