Palm Beach County, a Destination for Europe's Most Talented String Players

Boca Raton, FL, March 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- What does Palm Beach County have in common with Kronberg Germany? American Friends of Kronberg Academy is proudly and creatively shouting. Alexander Sitkovetsky (Violinist), Peijun Xu Violist, and Dai Miyata (Violonchello). Just over 2 years ago the American Friends of Kronberg Academy started on an ambitious but deliberate dream of sharing the wealth of Kronberg, a small town just outside of Frankfurt, with Palm Beach County. By wealth, they mean sublimely talented string musicians who in a town more suited to be the backdrop in a Disney film has studied and honed their unbelievable talents through the Kronberg Further Master Studies.

AFKA, backed by local partners such as Cousins Law Firm, WXEL, Steinway Piano Gallery (Boca Raton), The International Club of Boca Raton, and the Hecreninan family, Sorenson Gallery and Highland Beach Holiday Inn, have managed to secure a place among the who’s who of cultural events promoters in Palm Beach County.

Driven by the desire to share some of Europe’s most talented classical musicians with the people of Palm Beach County, AFKA took a road often less traveled by those in the Cultural Events Arena. "We wanted to have direct impact on the people of Palm Beach County especially the children," said Axel Langhorst President of AFKA, "and for that reason we reached out to strategic partners in the community and came up with an idea that would be the most impactful."

What was this way? You may ask… Instead of going to traditional venues AFKA has chosen locations such as the Sorensen Gallery in downtown Delray Beach were audiences could experience the music both on the inside and the outside of the Gallery. The Club houses residential communities and the private homes of a few benefactors. In addition to performances and media appearances, the artists have also visited local schools, and some even provide one on one master classes for a few of the lucky and talented students of Palm Beach County.

The future of American Friends Kronberg Academy is very bright and will continue to be impactful as the organization prepares for the launch of its Distance Learning Program. This revolutionary new path in the education of exceptionally gifted young musicians is now paving the way for a borderless top-level artistic exchange of experience and music tuition in "digital master classes."
