At the dawn of his budding comedy career and only four months into his new marriage, Brandon Severs was paralyzed after being shot during a home invasion. Due to complications which set in because of a fractured ankle not healing, he developed a near fatal infection and ended up having his leg amputated. Then, just when he thought things were starting to get better, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Brandon does not believe in coincidences. Everything happens for a reason, he feels, and he set off to find the reason why this triple tragedy had befallen him.
He learned much about his family and his friends, but mostly he learned about God. He learned, also, that finding out the reason behind these events was only half the battle. Coming to know one’s life purpose and then carrying out that purpose are two entirely different undertakings.
