Lancaster Junior Redskins Football and Cheerleading Announces Structural Changes and Elects New Board Members.
Lancaster, NY, March 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In their ongoing effort to improve program quality for all interested youths, Lancaster Junior Redskins Football and Cheerleading (LJRFC) recently restructured their board of directors and elected new members of the board. The new structure will help expand focus on both the football and cheerleading programs while also improving timely and accurate communication throughout the organization and the Lancaster community. These changes include the revision of existing and creation of new voting board positions, including two Assistant Football Commissioners in place of one Football Coordinator, a new Cheerleading Equipment Coordinator to break away select duties from the Cheerleading Coordinator, and a new Communications Director.
Elections occur annually in January. Newly Elected to the Board were Joe Molea, Carlo Direnzo, Mary Pat Mahoney, Tracy Harmon, and James Purpura. Re-elected to the Board were Drew Pella, Diane Sagliani, Lisa Zajac, and Jennifer Molea. Remaining on the Board to continue serving two-year terms include Scott Myers, Tim Gekas, Lynne Martin, Keith Monin, Paul Lapiana, Michelle Mycek, and Tricia Jachimiak. A complete listing of Board Members and Assistants by position can be viewed at www.jrredskins.com.
LJRFC strives to provide a safe, fun, effective environment where kids ages 5-15 can learn, play, and enjoy football and cheerleading without discrimination. We encourage development of mind and body, teaching football and cheerleading skills while promoting athleticism, teamwork, competition, sportsmanship, character, and fair play. Players and cheerleaders have opportunity to participate in at least eight games on Saturdays late-August through mid-November plus cheer competitions near the end of the season. Practices begin in August and are typically weekday evenings. For more details, check out www.jrredskins.com.
