CORE’s Mark Carney Discusses How to Effectively Manage Tower Assets at This Week’s CTIA Conference

Mark Carney demonstrates how understanding the historical and future issues of a tower can lead to greater returns on investment

Brea, CA, March 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Mark Carney, Director of Development at Core Development Services will be speaking at the International Association for Wireless Telecommunications’ Tower Technology Summit this Tuesday, March 22 in Orange County, Florida.

With more than two decades of tower management experience, Carney’s invitation to participate in the conference comes to no surprise. In a panel titled: “Asset Management: How to Make Your Cell Site More Visible and Profitable,” Carney, along with three other wireless leaders, will demonstrate how wireless companies can maximize the use of their assets by taking key steps in maintaining these sites—such as conducting comprehensive tower audits.

“Understanding that ‘tower maintenance’ requires examining the asset 25 years in the past as well as 25 years in the future is key to keeping the assets but also to its continue to growth in productivity,” Carney explains. Consequently, Carney’s discussion at the CTIA conference will focus on the importance of really understanding each individual tower asset: when its approval expire, how other approvals may affect it, and anticipating how future changes to the site will affect these approvals.

“Core is fortunate to have Mark Carney at the helm of our wireless site deployment efforts,” Core Development Services’ Founding Principal John Koos says, “From the carrier and tower asset sides of the business, Carney has done it all and we look forward to have him lead our company, and the industry in such important issues.”
