Heartland Hypnosis Services & Training completes move from Shawnee to Norman
Heartland Hypnosis Services and Training recently completed its move from Shawnee to Norman. Owner Johnie Fredman said they are excited about the opportunity to serve Norman and the surrounding areas. “We were looking for an opportunity to expand but decided that a move to Norman was our best option,” said Fredman.
While there are other hypnotists located in Norman, Fredman believes Heartland Services and Training brings a unique combination of expertise and experience. In addition to being a board certified hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), the nation’s oldest and largest professional hypnotism organization, Mr. Fredman is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is also a certified hypnosis instructor and has over 15 years experience in the field of hypnotism. Mr. Fredman has earned specialty certifications in numerous areas, including the use of hypnosis for pain management and sports improvement. He also specializes in working with students to improve study skills and overcome test anxiety. “Because of our reputation for providing quality, professional, and ethical services, we have had clients come from as far away as Dallas and Kansas City,” said Fredman.
Mr. Fredman is no stranger to Norman. He and his wife lived in Norman after they married. He earned his master’s degree from OU in Community Counseling in 1997. He has returned to OU and is currently pursuing his PhD in Instructional Psychology and Technology. Mr. Fredman also previously served as an officer for the Norman Police Department for approximately three years.
In addition to providing hypnosis services, Heartland Hypnosis Services and Training is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools (OBPVS). Students who successfully complete their hypnosis training course earn certification as a hypnotist through the NGH. Fredman stated they are working to have their Norman location approved by the OBPVS and hope to begin offering certification courses in the near future. Information is available on their upcoming classes.
Heartland Hypnosis Services and Training currently employs three hypnotists, all of whom are certified through the NGH. They are located at 408 W. Main, Suite 200. Office hours are by appointment only. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
